Outstanding Fishing continues

I am pleased to report that all of our bass trips have been very successful.  The fishing has and is still on fire.  We have started all of our morning trips by 6am in order to fill the livewell with bait.  Once we have successfully caught enough bait, we start the search for schools of bass.  This year, they have been in some of my favorite spots to fish so it isn’t long before we hookup.  The pogies have started to push into the harbor and this is a great sign.  We are predicting some excellent fishing lasting through the spring with so much bait in our waters.  I will start to run shark charters next week.  This is a favorite trip of many due to the excitement of seeing sharks come up to the boat.  While shark fishing, we do target haddock for the table.  As far as the tuna bite, there have been some big tuna caught to the east of Boston.  We will be targeting tuna soon.  On a rare day off I had the pleasure of fishing on a friends 46′ post.  We caught a lot of bass in the morning then surfed behind the boat making it a perfect day!

Hinsdale, Montana Senior Class trip

I had the pleasure of taking the entire graduating class of Hinsdale, Montana High School Fishing.  All 4 of them!!!   This time of year it pays off to get up early, so we decided to leave the dock at 5am.   We were greeted with light winds, smooth seas and plenty of bait.  After we all had fun catching mackerel, we headed to a fishing spot that has been hot the past few days.  We were hooked up to our first bass of the day within seconds and continued with a steady bite the entire morning.  Everyone caught numerous fish and we left the fish biting.  June is off to a great start and we look forward to a great season.

The boys from Texas getting it done with style

Memorial Weekend Report.  Great weekend on the water with big fish coming to the boat.  We found some deep water holding large schools of pogies and mackerel.  As we trolled our live baits we were able to get multiple hookups on fish over 42″!  The weather pattern looks perfect, and the big bass are in the Captains favorite spots to fish.  If you want a very good chance at a fish of a lifetime the next few weeks is the time to go.  FullSizeRender (4) IMG_0932 FullSizeRender (3)

May 2017 Report

We have started the 2017 season with a mix of flounder and schoolie striped bass in the harbor.  Our first trip last week featured non stop action casting at bass feeding on herring.  After we caught plenty of these fish, we filled the cooler with flounder.  I am very happy with what I am seeing in the harbor.  We will be transitioning to our live bait fishing this week which should produce the bigger bass that we target.

Sharks!

We have been offshore targeting sharks for the last few weeks with tremendous success.  We have landed 2 Mako’s and have caught and released a lot of blue sharks which give a fun fight.  We will continue to shark fish into October, while transitioning to tuna fishing until mid November.

Fantastic Fishing

After a tough stretch of fishing in late July, the action has been steady the last few weeks.  We have been primarily fishing with live and dead pogies throughout the harbor with great success.  The offshore waters are holding tuna and sharks.

Bass are here

This past week the bass were very active feeding on schools of mackerel.  We have been able to catch plenty of mackerel each morning.  Live lining them has produced some very fun fishing.  The weather looks great this week and we know where the fish are feeding!  Call 617 275 6670 for your next fishing adventure.

Tuna Time

Mid September is always welcomed with open arms. With water temps still high enough to support all game fish species we target, now is the time to go fishing.  We have started to run regular tuna trips which have been successful.  The fish are very active and are biting. There is a ton of life including whales, dolphins, tuna, sharks, and bait.  This past week we targeted tuna and sharks.   The weather was perfect and we were able to land a nice 60″ fish for the table.  The shark fishing was exciting with many bluesharks coming right to the boat.   The inshore fishing is also red hot, the ticket to having a great day is to leave the dock early and fill the live well with mackerel and fishing them around feeding schools of fish.  There are still a ton of schoolies feeding daily in the harbor.  These feeds have made for great action on light tackle.
